BEGINNING
Start with some circles that are all the same size and one oval for interest. (Draw these lightly so you can erase them later.) In the center, draw a light circle.

FORM
There are four petals like a cross; they are like narrow hearts, draw them inside the circles. Draw the top one first, then the bottom one next, then one on the left and the one on the right last; that way, they are even. Don't try to make them perfect or the same because, in nature, nothing is perfect; some are twisted or wilted.

BRANCHES AND LEAVES
The branches are curved from above; they go down and up under the flowers. Draw two lines, one for each side.

The leaves are teardrop-shaped in twos and come off of their own little branches. Put some leaves behind the flowers for realism.

In the center are a lot of little dots sticking up.

SHADING
Shade the area around the flower so it the only thing left white or color their ping. The leaves are bright green, and the branches are red-brown.
