Hummingbirds are beautiful, amazing and very easy to draw. You only need to know a few basic shapes and take your time to make a beautiful picture.
Start with a 2b pencil and draw lightly so you can erase later. Use a circle for the head and an oval for the body. The oval should be no more than twice the size of the circle you drew for the head. The first wing, the one away from you on the other side, is just a triangle; don't make it too big, no more the the size of the oval. The tail is a small triangle
The beak is is two lines, don't make it too fat at first; do it skinny and you can fatten it up later if it needs.
Erase any extra lines.
Draw a curved line for the eyebrow and then draw the eye underneath it like a a half circle with the top of the eye covered just a little by the eyebrow. Draw the shiny spot in the eye before you color it in so it doesn't get colored out.
The feet are trucked in and you only see three toes, use short straight lines to draw them.
