PRINTABLE INSTRUCTIONS
Start with a light outline.HEAD
The head looks like a triangle with a second triangle behind it for the gaping mouth. Round off the corners. The view is turned a little so you only need to draw one eye. Draw the large tooth before you draw the other teeth so it fits.
NECK
The neck starts behind the head. It is two lines that curve, one line comes off the top of the head the other is from under the jaw. The neck is more narrow at the head and wider at the body.
BODY
The body is a hump; draw it like an arch. It is behind the neck. Behind the body is the tail. Use a line to show where the body is coming out of the water.
The flipper is two lines that curve outward and then back to touch at the ends.
WATER
The splash has a top where the water is rounded upward. There are bubbles flying up. The splash also has a darker bottom where the water is rounded downward. The ocean waves are smaller far away and look like dashes. The waves close by are bigger and are like lots of streaks back and forth.
SHADING AND COLOR.
Loch Ness is a very beautiful lake. Make the mountains around it colorful and the distant water light blue. The nearby water is dark. The monster is dark gray, green, or blue.
