DESIGN
Start by drawing lightly so you can erase later.

Use circles and lined to design an articulated stick figure of the Titan. The shoulders are wide apart the arms are long and the legs are short there is no neck.

Use something to show his size since he is a giant. Our Titan is holding up a car so you can compare his size to the size of the car. It also makes the picture tell a story.

BODY FORM
Go around the stick figure to fill in the form of the body.

CLOTHING AND ARMOR
Draw the clothing and armor lightly after you have gotten the body the way you want it. Draw the clothing and armor around the body. Give the cape flowing lines.

FACE
Continue to work lightly as you create your design.
Keep the face simple. Give a single long eyebrow, a pig nose or monkey nose, horns, or long hair.

After you have developed the designs go over it with darker color pencils or pen. Add shading and more details to armor. Design a background.  Put a shadow underneath him.

PRINTABLE NOTES.

BEGINNINGS
The basic shape of the head in the 3/4 view is like an egg or teardrop upside down and tilted to one side.
Lightly draw guidelines down the vertical axis of the face; they will be almost on the outside edge at the chin and about 20% back from the outside edge at the top.
Lightly draw a guideline for the eyes about halfway from the chin to the crown of the head; it will extend back to the top of the ear.
Halfway down from the eyes, draw a guideline for the nose; this guideline will extend back for the bottom of the ear.
Halfway down from the nose, draw a guideline for the mouth.

EYE
The eye socket and cheek are like a cut into the outside edge draw it like a pointing to the guideline for the eye.  Draw the eyes right on the guideline. Take your time to make sure they are even so that one is not higher than the other. The eye on the outside is touching the > of the eye socket.

NOSE
The nose is almost like an upside-down number seven that starts at the point where the guidelines for the eyes cross and go down to the outside line and back across the guideline and up.

MOUTH
The outside edge of the lips touches the outside edge of the face. The top is straight line-shaped like an uneven M, and the bottom is a curved line like a U.

THE EAR
The ear is almost all the way to the back of the head. The top of the ear is no higher than the guideline for the eye, and the bottom of the ear is no lower than the guideline for the nose. The ear is like a peanut that is wider at the top and smaller at the bottom with a large letter S inside.

CHIN
Add in the chin with a line going down from the lips and back to the jawline. The jaw takes a sharp turn up to connect to the bottom of the ear.

HAIR
Keep the hair simple. The hairline starts halfway from halfway between the eyes and the top of the head; it curves across and down to the ear. Draw the outside edges of the hair around the head.  Do wavy lines or spiky lines to give it character.

NECK
The neck at the front starts a little back of the chin; it goes down and our forward. The neck at the back starts halfway behind the ear.

SHADING
Use shading to give the face character and roundness.

PRINTABLE NOTES

Start with a light pencil. Use the scribbling technique to come up with ideas for the picture. Scribble the background mountains. Draw the line for the distant water's edge and use an oval for the island.

Go over the scribble mountains by choosing the lines that make it look like a mountain range with different ridges and shapes. The distant mountains will be lighter and have less detail. The near mountains will have more detail and be darker. Scribble in the rough trees on the island and give some interesting shapes, like rocks, to the island.

Continue to develop the picture by adding more texture and shadows to the mountains, trees, and water. Add the trees on the far shore with up pointing strokes of the pencil. Add darkness to the island and trees. The water is darker closer to the bottom, and lighter by the distant shore.

I hope you draw a masterpiece!

If you have trouble printing  CLICK HERE to visit the how to print page for some suggestions or try one of the links to updated print files below. PRINT IN GREYSCALE SO YOU GET ALL THE SHADOWS.

YOU MAY PRINT THE PROJECT NOTES BELOW.

OVERVIEW
Do not get upset if the pumpkins are not perfectly round, in fact, they never are, so if your pumpkins are oval or lopsided it will be more realistic. The leaves on the pumpkin plant are huge so do not be afraid to draw them big. The leaves are on vines that have stems going up and the leaves grow on top of the stems.

BEGINNINGS
Draw lightly at first so you can erase later.

Start with a row of large circles for the basic pumpkin shape. In front of the large circles draw smaller ones of different sizes. It is more interesting if some pumpkins are in front of others. Have some leaning one way and some leaning another way, it makes it look more interesting.

LEAVES
The pumpkin leaves are like big floppy stars with rounded points. Draw the five or six lines for the veins down the center and off to the sides. The veins will look like fingers or a spider, so draw a line around the veins like a large glove around a hand.

VINES
The vines are each two lines that curl and loop around and go different ways. Start like a winding twisty scribble then draw a line on each side of the scribble to make it thick. It should come to a point.

DETAILS
Pumpkins have creases that go from the stem to the base. Do not draw too many. Remember to keep them curved. The stem is curved and wide at the base. Use rough texture on the stem.

ENVIRONMENT
Add a world, like a garden, cornstalks, or a fence. Use a rough scribble texture on the fence. Use a dark smudgy or dotty texture on the ground.

SHADING
Use shading technique to give the pumpkins some roundness, and to bring out the creases. Make the leaves darker than the pumpkins and the fence darker, make the soil the darkest.

Every picture should tell a story, can you guess the story in this one?

PRINTABLE NOTES

BEGINNING
Start by drawing lightly at first so you can erase later.

Draw a line for the back edge of the table that way it will not look like stuff floating on the page.

Use a guideline up and down for the center of each bottle then you can use it to keep the lines even on both sides.

Use basic shapes to form the composition. Circles for the curves of the bottles. Ovals for the bottoms and the wine glass. Use a ruler for the straight lines.

It makes the picture look more interesting if some things are in front and other things are half-hidden behind. Make it look like a landscape with a background, a middle ground, and a foreground. Group things in a cluster not in a row.

Use an eraser to clean up the extra guidelines.

Add details like shiny spots where the light is reflecting on the glass. Add wrinkles in the tablecloth. Add labels and corks.

My picture was done as a line drawing in marker but if you are using pencils or color media you can easily adapt this drawing to your media of choice.

PRINTABLE NOTES.

BEGINNINGS
Start by drawing lightly so you can erase later.

Start with an outline of the hand like you are drawing a mitten.

Use a curved guideline for the knuckles and two for the joints in the fingers (the thumb has only one joint).

Use three lines to divide the fingers.

The thumb is like a crooked rectangle.

Round off the tips of the fingers. Use a half circle for the thumb since it is seen from its side.

The joints of the fingers are a little wider, so curve the lines of the fingers, do the same for the joint on the thumb.

The side of the hand below the small finger is slightly rounded.

The fingernails are like the letter "U," but it is just a curved line on the thumb.

There are several wrinkles on the finger joints and knuckles; they are not straight.

The hand on the far side is a line that copies the lower line of the near side hand.

The wrists are narrower where they connect to the hand but slightly wider where they meet the sleeve.

The sleeve is like an oval, not a straight line.

Use shading technique to give the hands roundness.

I hope you create a masterpiece!

PRINTABLE NOTES

Begin by drawing lightly so you can erase it later on.

Use a ruler or straight edge to draw the straight lines.

Use shapes like rectangles, triangles, and squares to build the basic shape.

Use a guideline down the center to keep things even.

It is like a cylinder with a roof.
The top is shaped like a triangle, but the bottom of the triangle is curved down like a cylinder. There is a second curve going up for the far side of the roof. The sides are straight.

There are seven posts going up and down on the sides. At first, draw them as a single line; when you get them in the right place, draw over them as two parallel lines, so they have thickness. The four near posts go all the way from top to bottom. The three far posts only go halfway down and are covered by the half wall.

Use two lines to divide the top triangle of the roof into three equal sections.

Draw lines for the side walls. The near side wall in front is straight across, but the ones on the sides tilt downward.

The tops of the post have a "Y" shape. Draw them as double lines but be careful to keep things even.

The side walls have slats going up and down. ake your time to draw them evenly and parallel.

The stone path leading up to the gazebo is curved to give the viewer a lead into the picture. The stones are smaller in the distance and larger up close. Draw them as ovals since the perspective distorts their roundness.

Add bushes in front and a row of bushes in the background. Draw the outline of trees in the distance.

Use dark areas to give interest.  Put shadows inside and on one side.

I hope you draw a masterpiece!

If you have trouble making the worksheet below print or are printing on A-4 sized paper, then CLICK HERE to visit my how-to-print page for some suggestions.

PRINTABLE NOTES

Start by drawing lightly at first so you can erase it later.

BEGINNING
Use basic common shapes to work out the basic design.

BODY
The body starts out as a circle in the middle, a longer oval behind the circle and a teardrop shape pointing forward for the head.

WINGS
There are four wings, two on each side. They are like long triangles. The big one is in front of the other small one.

Our drawing only shows one set of wings on the near side, but you can add wings on the other side, just remember the wings on the other side will have fewer details.

Trace around the shapes to give the body smooth lines. Trace around the triangles of the wings to give them roundness; there are some curves on the top of the wing and some wiggly lines on the bottom.

LEGS AND ANTENNA
Use a bent line for each of the three legs. Go around the lines with long oval shapes for the thickness of the legs. The front leg has one long oval, the center leg has two ovals about the same size below the knee joint. The back leg has two ovals, one long one on top and a short more round one at the bottom. There are feet that look like the letter L backward.

The antenna are two bent lines. Go around them and give them thickness.

DETAILS
The eye is another teardrop shape, leave a shiny spot inside.
The stinger is a short triangle at the far back.
The singer is black, and there are four stripes on the back part of the bee.
There are veins in the wings
Use shading to give the bee a look of roundness.
Color the legs, antenna, eye, and stripes black.

Draw a world around your bee. Put her on a flower or some natural place.

How to Draw A Cat Warrior Worksheet

How to draw a cat warrior drawing lesson and worksheet.

This free printable how-to-draw worksheet will help the young artist to draw and design a half-cat half-person fantasy creature.  Many people just put a cat head on a human body but I try to encourage a form that blends humans and a cat more realistic. The cat arms are longer than a person proportionally. The legs look stockier, and the foot is much longer and he stands on the toes. The back is curved more than a person could be.

PRINTABLE NOTES.

Start by drawing lightly so you can erase later.

BEGINNING
Start by drawing an articulated stick figure, which is a stick figure that has the joints like wrist, elbows, knees.  Use a guideline so the feet both touch the ground on the same plane. The far foot will look higher than the nearer foot.
The head is just a circle at first.

Take your time to make sure you get the pose right. You might need to try a few drawings first to get the position of the arms and legs the way you want them.

After the pose is right, then go around the stick figure to fill out the body, use curved lines to show muscles. Remember to draw lightly.

Then erase the stick figure and leave the outlined shape.

DETAILS
Keep the face simple. The eyes are just a couple of lines, the nose is a triangle, the cheeks are two circles that meet at the base of the nose the ears are triangles on top of the head.
Do the tale last.
The hands are wearing gloves so they are easy and boxy.

ARMOR
Draw the armor around the body. Remember the cat is very flexible so use a lot of smaller pieces overlapping like scales. Use a ruler to keep the lines of the sword straight.

Use shading to give it a complete look and a roundish look. Pick a few things to make dark like boots or gloves or belts so that it will have some interest.

Finish the story. He could be fighting a dragon, protecting a princess cat or cutting his birthday cake, just make sure he is doing something that makes a story out of the picture.
