How to Draw A Lop Eared Rabbit Free Worksheet by MrAdron.

YOU MAY PRINT THE PROJECT NOTES BELOW.

BEGINNINGS
Start with a light pencil like a 2b and draw lightly so you can erase later. Build the shape using circles to compose the structure of the drawing. Draw a circle for the head and a larger circle for the body. Use a guideline down the middle to keep things even. At the bottom add two circles next to each other on each side of the guideline for the front feet. Place two oval-like circles for the rear feet, space these a little higher and leave a little space first two.

DEVELOPING FORM
The front legs are short curving lines that touch the paws on the outside edges and a short line in between the paws.

FACE
The face has big cheeks, draw these as two large circles on the lower half of the head. Use a guideline going across the face halfway down the head, the eyes are slightly above the guideline, and the nose is slightly below the guideline. The eyes are almond-shaped pointing downward. There is a little bulge of skin under the eye draw it simply as a line. The nose is a letter "Y" going down. The mouth is two small curving lines going upward in the middle. underneath

EARS
The ears are two long lines going down to a point and back up, give the ears a little curve for interest. You can make them as long as you want since some lop-eared rabbits have very long ears.

The paws are furry and the claws are hidden in the fur.

Erase the extra lines and the guidelines.

FUR
Take your time with, you might want to take a few breaks to do the fur. Use short lines and go over the lines that you drew for the form.

To make the shadows use the same short lines but go over the areas extra and build up the darkness of the fur.

How To Draw The Head Of A Chinese Dragon, Free Worksheet.

This is a worksheet on how to draw the head of a Chinese dragon and an art lesson.

This simple drawing project will give the young artist confidence in drawing. Parents and teachers will find many ways to use it in class and at home.

Sometimes, it takes me hours to create these how-to-draw worksheets, but I do it so that I can give back. I believe that when you have been given a gift, it is so you can be a gift to others, and I hope these worksheets are a means of blessing to you. You are welcome to print as many as you like.

I drew this up as a handout to give to some students I was giving art lessons to.

The Chinese dragon has the eyes of an Ogre, the nose, and mane of a lion, the mouth of a donkey, the ear of a cow, and the antlers of a deer. Otherwise, there are no rules for drawing an excellent good Chinese dragon. The style is to fill in all empty spaces with scales, feathers, flames, and patterns.

BEGINNINGS and DESIGN
Start by drawing lightly with a pencil that you can erase later. The head is shaped like a circle with rectangles for the snout and jaw. Use circles for the nose and eyes. There is an ear, draw it as a large triangle pointing backward. There are antlers, they are wavy lines from the top behind the eye going up and touching at points.

REFINING
Make the lines flow so there are no straight lines. Use wavy lines to make the flame-like shapes for the mane, eyelashes, beard around the mouth, and anything else you want. Use triangles for teeth and fangs.

CLEAN UP
Erase extra lines and go over the good parts with a marker or darker pencil, or you may trace it onto a clean sheet of paper. Fill in the empty spaces with patterns.

How To Draw A Chinese Dragon, Free Drawing Worksheet.

Ho to draw a Chinese dragon drawing lesson and printable worksheet.

The free worksheet below and the project notes may be printed by highlighting it and sending to your printer or saving it to your device and printing later.

Parents, teachers, and home school families may find this helpful in class or at home.

The Chinese Dragon is thought to be a creature of mythology so you can make it any way you want since it is very unlikely that someone will come up to you and say, "no that is wrong," since they never saw one so how can they know.

This style of the dragon is drawn as a long serpentine creature with legs.

PROJECT NOTES

BEGINNING
Draw the body as two long twisty lines. Start at the head end and gradually taper the lines to a point at the tail. Make it twisty. Add a third line for the spinal ridge; this third line will cross over from one side to the other to show the dragon is twisting.

LEGS
Position the legs where ever you want. To help get them right start lightly draw them like stick figures. Remember the elbows of the front legs point back and the knees of the back legs point forward. Draw the paws like stick figures too. After you have the legs in the place you want them to then go around the lines to give the legs thickness and the roundness of muscle. Do the same with the claws.

SPINE
The spine has a ridge made of spikes, draw them like small triangles. Follow the third line you drew so the spine ridges cross over. They will face one way and then the other.

HEAD
The head can be the most fun. In our drawing, it is long and narrow. You can sketch it any way you want. Decorate the head with flames and spikes. There is a chin beard, a mane of fire, long flowing whiskers, and long feathery eyebrows.

TAIL
The tale has flowing feathers or flame, they can fan out or form a shape like a paddle.

Add details like scales, flames, smoke, circles and what every you like to make it truly your own.

If your sketch of the Chinese dragon does not turn out the way you had hoped it would do not give up, you are learning. No one is as hard on themselves as a person who has the gift of art because you have the vision in your head and know how you want it to turn out- this shows you are thinking like a real artist.  Drawing takes practice, so come back to my blog every day and print off a few more of my drawing lessons and sketch them in a little while you will be drawing beautiful pictures.

YOU MAY PRINT THE PROJECT NOTES BELOW.

OVERVIEW
This drawing of a hand with the thumbs up is seen from the back of the hand, which I think is the more natural view opposed to the palm view with the fingers curled in.

BEGINNINGS
The hand has a box shape, so start with a large square that is slightly tilted down. The thumb is a square with an oval at the top. The wrist is a triangle shape. Use a rectangle for the sleeve. The fingers are curled back so they are shorter due to perspective. Start the fingers with a rectangle on the edge of the square.

DEVELOPING FORM
Use a guideline for the knuckles and edge of the fingers. The guideline will curve from the top corner to the bottom corner of the square for the knuckles. The guideline for the fingers edge will start from the top corner of the rectangle to the bottom corner. Place ovals for the four knuckles on the guideline. Draw three lines for the fingers; the lines should go from the outside edge to between the knuckles. The ends of the fingers are the first joint and are slightly rounded

THE THUMB
The thumb curves back at the joint which is halfway up, so the lines curve around the outside of the thumb joint, and inward at the inside fold.

REFINING
Go over your drawing and give the outside edge a clean flowing look. Erase any extra lines.

FINISHING TOUCHES
Use shading technique to give the round appearance, and use shading to put in the veins and tendons. Add wrinkles around the thumb, knuckles, and joints,

BEFORE YOU BEGIN
It is good to understand the picture you are drawing so you can draw it correctly. We will draw this from looking straight onto the knuckles with a little of the back of the hand showing and the fingers to the first joint.

BEGINNING
The hand from this view is slightly rectangular so draw lightly a rectangle, (you will erase this later so draw lightly). Just for reference draw a curving line from the top corner to an eighth of the way back on the bottom line, this is for the finger joint edge. Draw another curving line starting on the top of the rectangle at about 1/3rd from the back edge this line curves back and then forward to touch the bottom line at about 1/3rd. This is a reference line for the knuckles. Use a line to placemark the thumb and two lines for the wrist and back of the hand.

DEVELOP FORM
Mark off three points for the lines between the fingers, once you are sure the marks are evenly spaced draw a line from the marks back they should all end evenly below the thumb.  Lightly draw circles for the four knuckles at the base of the fingers. Use an oval for the pad at the top of the thumb- the thumb is as tall as the distance from the top of the hand to the third knuckle. The outside edge of the fingers are joints, their shape are not flat nor round but they are angular and slightly rounded; draw this with three lines as if you were drawing a half circle with three straight lines.

REFINING THE DRAWING
Erase the extra lines. Go over the outside edge of the hand. The back of the hand is tilted down and is like a triangle. The bottom finger curves up from the wrist. There is a triangle fold of skin below the bottom finger's knuckle. The thumb looks like a stretched out peanut. There is a knuckle at the base of the thumb it looks like a bump on the top part of the back of the hand.

SHADING
The bottom of the wrist is all in shadow. There is a little shadow between each finger and around the edges. The inside edge of the thumb is in shadow. The ends of the fingers are slightly shaded. Use shadows to draw the knuckles on the back of the hand. They look like triangles of shadow

BEGINNING
This lizard is mostly the frill and the head, so we will start there. The head is shaped like a square on top of a diamond. The top of the head is the eyebrows and they are two slightly curving lines going down to the middle. The eyes are circles under the eyebrow and curve outward. The mouth has a diamond shape inside, inside the top half of the mouth is all in shadow. The teeth are very small and are only little bumps along the edge of the mouth.

FRILL
The frill is shaped like two circles on each side of the head. There are folds going from the edge of the frill almost to the face, some may go all the way. The outside edge of the frill is wavy and wrinkly.

BODY
The body is very simple it is two long lines that get closer to each other until they touch at the tip of the tail. The legs are very skinny, they stick out at the sides. The feet have two thumbs each and the other fingers are very long.

COLOR
Some frilled lizards have a lot of colors some do not.

The file above was made with a scanner the one below is digital. one of the two will work for you.

CLICK HERE for a file in PDF format.

YOU MAY PRINT THE PROJECT NOTES BELOW.

BEGINNING
Some people start on the humpback but that is only a minor detail, so save it for later on even last. Do the face first because the story is in the expression and the pose. Draw a large oval or egg shape for the head, make sure it is leaning over on one side. Draw a guideline down the center to help reference things. Use a stick figure technique for the arms, shoulders, and hands to get the pose right. Because he is hunched over and leaning forward the shoulders look like they are at his ears.

DEVELOPING THE FACE
Since the face is deformed it is OK if things are off-center.
     * The eyes are halfway down and are just two curved lines going down with half circles below.
     * The nose is like three large circles in the middle of the face.
     * The mouth is almost like a lopsided triangle.
     * Make the upper lip like the letter "m."
     * The ear is big and sticking out of the side of the head.
     * The hair is only above the ear and a little above the forehead.
     * Give the face wrinkles and two or three baggy chins by drawing curving lines.
     * Put a few warts here and there.
     * Give him three teeth on the top and on the bottom.

BODY
Use large circles and ovals to go around the stick figure form and fill out the arms and shoulders. After the form looks right sketch over it the shirt and tunic. Keep the hands simple they are mostly seen on the side. The thumb is at the back and sticks up over the top.

THE SCENE
Draw the arch behind him and the part of the bell showing behind the arch. The balcony railing is full of fancy decorations start them as circles and then connect the circles into decorations. Fill in the spaces between the decorations with arches and lines.

Tips for Drawing a Still Life With Jars Worksheet by MrAdron.

YOU MAY PRINT THE PROJECT NOTES BELOW.

BEGINNINGS
Start slow. For your first project select three or four items that share a theme. In our example, we have glass jars but it could be four cups, or four apples, or four tools, etc.  Arrange the subject. Do not get too tidy; put some things in front and some in back. Leave a little space between so things are not too crowded. The things in front will be lower on the page.
Look it over and decide if it is interesting.  Avoid items that create barriers to the eye like something with long lines that dominate the arrangement. The eye should rove around the subject.

PRE-SKETCH
Do a rough draft of the drawing loosely. Don't try to be perfect just get things in place on the paper. Look for the shapes of objects and use the basic shapes of squares, rectangles, ovals etc. to compose the parts of the drawing.

MAPPING
Our still life is of glass jars. We want to catch the shiny spots, so we draw them early as outlines, that way when we are shading we don't shade over them. The darkest areas are determined and the first layer of shading is applied.

DEVELOPING DETAIL
Sketch in the details like the far sides seen through the glass or the raised edges.

SHADING
Use the side of the pencil shade in areas. Do all the light areas first then go over the darker areas. Look for reflected shadows and shadows inside shadows. Remember to not shade over the highlights that you mapped out before. Use a blending stub or a tissue to blend the shadows and give the glassy effect.

Shading is the biggest job in the drawing so take your time and take a few breaks.

YOU MAY PRINT THE PROJECT NOTES BELOW.

BEGINNINGS
Use the stick figure technique to draw a man standing. Use circles for the major joints and bend the arm at the elbow. Add in the line for the spear and a large rectangle for the shield.

DEVELOP FORM
Around the stick figure add the thickness of the arm and the leg. Draw the torso as a boxy rectangle.

HELMET AND ARMOR
The helmet is a half-circle on top. It has a bold line across the brow. The helmet has two side guards that cover the cheeks, they are drawn with curved lines. Behind the helmet is a neck guard, only the edges show out of the sides like narrow triangles.
The body armor is a series of rectangles that come over the shoulder and another set of rectangles that wrap the body. They have buckles in the middle.
The kilt looks like a skirt that goes almost to the knee. It is leather strips that look like long rectangles

HAND
The hand is wrapped around the spear so you are looking at the back of the hand. Draw it like a square but curved outward no the side toward the solder. The thumb is on the backside of the spear just draw a half circle where it comes across.

WEAPONS
The spear has two parts, the wooden shaft, and the metal lance. Use a ruler or straight edge to draw this so it looks good.
The short sword hangs on a belt that comes down from behind the shield. The sword is a rectangle and goes from the waist to the knee, at the bottom is a triangle. The hilt is simple, a circle on the top, the grip curves inward slightly and there is a short crosspiece.
The shield has a metal edge, draw the edge as two parallel lines that go around the shield. In the middle of the shield is a metal round piece, draw it as a circle with a square around it. The shields were decorated, so draw lightning bolts or eagles or lions on it.

FACE
Keep the face simple. Make the jaw and chin square. Draw eyebrows as a thick straight line. Draw the eyes as straight lines with dots below. The nose is a line going down and over a little bit. The mouth is a straight line with a little downward dash at the end.

FEET
The feet are like rectangles but a little pointed on the large toe. The sandals have three straps going over and two straps wrapping around the ankle.

Draw the cape last.

OVERVIEW
The pagoda is a small monument in a garden. Our sketch is composed of some basic shapes and lines.

BEGINNING
Lightly draw a guideline up and down for the center so things are even on both sides, you will erase this later.
The top of the pagoda looks like an umbrella. Draw a triangle with the top point on the guideline. Below the triangle draw a curve like a bow on its back from tip to tip of the triangle, this is another guideline, you will erase it later. Below the bow-shaped guideline draw a square and then a second square around the square for the front of the pagoda. On each side draw a parallelogram (it is like a crooked rectangle) for the side windows and then draw a larger one around it for the side walls. Below these three sides draw the rectangles of the lower edge. Below that draw a tall rectangle for the pillar.

DEVELOP FORM
The top has two or three circles on the very top. The top is divided into three sections each like a triangle. These sections have curving lines; each section has a ball at the corner. The sidewalls of the pagoda each have a window. The pillar has flat sides, draw these as lines going up and down. The bottom has a circle base draw this as an oval with sides going down.

DETAILS
Draw the inside that you see through the window. Add shadows to the side away from the sun and inside. Create a garden to put it in.
