Because I do not like scary subjects, I made Mr. Goblin a barber who needs more customer service skills, so the picture has some humor and a story.

TIP
Since this is a fantasy creature you can change features and body type to suit your personal project.

START
Use a stick figure to work out the pose.
     * There is no neck the head is low and looks like the ears are right on top of the shoulder.
     * The head is larger than normal and is like a long upside-down egg.
     * The arms are way too long.
     * The legs are short and bowed.
     * He has big hands and big feet.

FACE
The face is long and skinny. Use straight choppy lines to give it character.
     * The eyes are high up they are small black dots surrounded by wrinkles.
     * The nose looks like a carrot.
     * The mouth is a small frown.
     * There are lines under the cheek and over the eyebrow.
     * There are frown lines going down the cheek.
     * The ears stick out from the side, give them a little wave.
     * There is straight wire-like hair going up and out.
     * I gave him two small horns on his forehead.

DEVELOP THE BODY
The stick figure tells where to put the shapes. The arms and legs are ovals for the muscles; after they are right trace around them to give them shape.

HANDS
The hands are like a square with fingers coming out. Draw a square for the back of the hand. Then with a stick figure method draw the three fingers and thumb. Trace around the stick figure fingers then erase the extra lines.

FEET
Draw a flat line for the bottom but give it a little hump in the middle. The toe area curves around going high then down over the top of the foot. The back is straight up and down.

CLOTHING
Draw the clothes after you have the body developed. Because he is a barber he is wearing a smock, it is like a long shirt with short sleeves. Remember to follow the shape of the body and put some wrinkles. Our goblin has a loincloth that is ragged at the bottom and tied with a rope at the top.

Draw a comb in one hand with some teeth missing, and put a mirror in the other. If you try to draw a screaming face in the mirror keep it simple- it is just to tell the story. Draw some scissors on the floor.

The tower is a cylinder made out of stones.

START
Start with a basic cylinder shape, this is a rectangle standing up, but not flat on the top since perspective makes the top looked like a slight curve.

Near the top, the walls bend outward in a flair shape. At the top are cutaways in the walls, draw them like rectangles. The top has arches under the edge. The top of the cutaways slope outward, (so rain will drain down and out.)

Decide where you are going to put any windows and lightly draw them in.

FILLER DETAILS
The stones are wider at the bottom since many castles used stronger types of stone for the base and lighter smaller stones higher up. Draw guidelines across the tower making sure they arch slightly.  Divide the lines into stones by drawing vertical lines between them. Do not make a checker pattern but draw the lines so they skip a row. None of the lines need to be even. The vertical lines are spaced wider apart at the middle and closer together toward the edges so the tower looks round.

EXTRAS
The roof would be made out of wood to give the guards shade. It is a cone, draw it as a triangle with a curved bottom. The curve matches the curve of the tower top. The roof is held up by wooden beams, use straight lines to draw them.

At the top of the tower is the smaller "signal" tower, it is behind the roof. It may have two or three signal flags on it. Draw it with less detail since it is far away.

Add shadow to make the roundness look more believable.

The tower can be by itself, on a rock, connected to a castle wall, or connected to a bridge.

YOU MAY PRINT THE PROJECT NOTES BELOW.

PROJECT NOTES:
The first few lines are the most important- the whole project depends on it.
Begin by drawing a long line for the ground so the feet are in place. Above that draw an arch for the back going from the head to the tip of the tail; make the Dinosaur twice as long as it is high.

Use stick figure drawing for the legs at first to make sure they are right. The rear leg starts higher and bends forward at the knee, and the front leg bends back at the elbow.

The head starts as an oval at the nose and has the curving triangle for the frill. The frill is as high as the top of the back

HEAD DETAIL
The eye is halfway between the tip of the nose and the back of the frill, and just below the top line. The brow horns are right above the eye and a little back, they do not go much farther than the beak. There is a spike on the nose ridge at the top of the beak. The frill goes back and up then comes down in a curve and there is a little cheek bump at the bottom of the frill. He has a beak instead of lips. Under his neck are loose wrinkly folds.

BODY DETAIL
The rear leg is thick and very wide at the top; there are wrinkles across the knees and ankles. The front leg is short and the shoulder is low, there are wrinkles across the elbows.  There are three toes with stubby claws on all feet.

The feet on the far side are in shadow they touch the ground a little higher up for the perspective.

There are rows of bumps like on an alligator. Draw a grid first so they stay in rows and don't get uneven. The top edge has bumps in rows like the other bumps. There are wrinkles going down the length of the body. The belly has folds like a snake belly.

I hope you create a masterpiece!

How to Draw A Pterodactyl Worksheet

Thank you!

The image above is a JPEG, and the file below is a PDF.

👉👉👉CLICK HERE for a file in a universal portable format.

BEGINNINGS:
Start with a framework. Draw a line for the top edge of the wing so the drawing will not go beyond the edge of the paper.

On the line for the wing draw a rough articulated stick figure to pose the pterodactyl. This is a circle for the chest, straight lines for the arms and legs with small circles for the knees elbows and shoulders. The head is three very skinny triangles.

Once the pose is correct and fits in the line of the wing then fill in the features of the body, use ovals and circles to place the muscles. Add a box area shape for the abdomen.

DEVELOP FORM
After you have the body filled out then erase the extra lines and go over the figure to darken the body some.

WING DETAILS
Each side of the wing is longer than the body. The wing connects by the knee. The hand has three fingers going up and one finger going out to the edge of the wing. Start the hands and the feet as straight lines with dots for the knuckles then trace around them to give them thickness.

HEAD DETAILS
The head has a long bony crest on the top, it is not straight so don't worry too much about it. The mouth is long and goes all the way to the eye. There is some lose wrinkles on the neck under the chin like a pelican. The eye is a circle inside a circle and a line inside that.

The body is dark and the wings are light.

I hope you create a masterpiece!

.
ROUGH DRAFT
Start by lightly drawing the circles of the apple. Not too many and have one slightly in front of the other. The circles should not be perfect but be a little flat at the top. Two lines come out of the top for the stem. The stems connect to the branch; use a double line to draw the branch. The leaves come in groups of three; they are round at the stem and come to a blunt point. They are curled, so the sides roll-up.

For interest, put some leaves behind the apples and behind the other leaves. Have one leaf in front of the apple.

Look at the rough draft to see if it needs any changes.

ADD VALUE (DARKNESS)
The apples are round, and the shadows make them look round. Remember, the light comes from one side, so all the shadows are on the other. There might be reflected shadows and reflected lights. They make it look natural.

The leaves are a little darker than the apples but just a little and the stem is even darker.

DETAILS
The bottom of the apple has papery parts of the old flower, it looks like a scribble. There are some dots both darker and lighter going up the sides of the apple. The leaves have saw-tooth edges.

You can trace around coins or something to make them round. Draw a line for the bottom edge of the car it is very low to the ground. The front goes out way past the front tire  and the rear ends at the back tire.

Draw an arch from the front edge over the front tire and touching the base just before the rear tire.

Add details to the tires and wheels with a second circle inside for the rim and a small circle in the center for the hub.

The driver is right at the middle only his helmet shows.

Behind the driver is an air scoop it starts above and behind the drivers head and goes down to just in front of the rear tire.

The engine cover starts right behind the driver and cures back to the top edge of the rear tire.

There is an airs foil at the very back, it is two rectangles at an angle over the rear tire.

There is a second edge along the bottom.

Draw a triangle fin shape for the windshield.

You may want to print the project notes below, too.

CAT BODY
The Sphinx is a cat with a human head. Since it is a fantasy creature you can change things to fit your own ideas.

The basic sitting cat shape starts as two large circles connected by two lines, one for the back and one for the chest. The head starts out as a circle, it is a little forward. The forearms are longer than a normal cat's legs and start out as rectangles. Use a guideline to keep the bottom even.

After you have the basic shape worked out then add the roundness of the muscles.

The back hip juts upward a little.

The tail wraps up in front of the back leg: it is two sweeping lines that taper closer together to end at the bushy bit of fur.

FACE
The face is a person. Use guidelines to keep the face balanced, one up and down the middle to place the ear, one halfway from the top of the head to the chin for the eyes, one halfway from the eyes for the nose and one halfway from the nose to the chin for the mouth.  The nose is straight.

HEADDRESS
The headdress has a front and a back. There is a line down the middle to the shoulder for the edge between the front and the back. Don't give it too many stripes or it will look messy, 16 at the most- eight on the top head to the shoulder and eight on the chest covering.

DETAILS
The paws have three toes showing, draw them as straight lines.

Draw Cleopatra Queen of Egypt Worksheet

How to draw Cleopatra, Queen of Egypt drawing lesson and printable worksheet.

This is a fun drawing project that is both rewarding and enjoyable. It's especially rewarding when you show it to someone and they say, "I know who that is!"The Worksheet below may be printed for personal use.

There are a lot of things you can do with the portrait of Cleopatra, since her crown sometimes covered the sides of her head, or sometimes went up high.

How To Draw The Face Of Cleopatra Worksheet.

If you have problems printing the worksheet, see the How to Print tab above for some helpful tips.

You can print the project notes below, too.

BEGINNING STEPS
Start with a basic oval or egg shape for the head. User reference lines to place the features evenly. One reference line down the middle helps to keep things from getting too right or left. The eyes are halfway between the top of the head and the chin. The nose is halfway from the eyes to the chin, and the mouth is halfway from the nose to the chin. The ears are no higher than the eyes and no lower than the moth.

Get the face right before you start the hair, crown, or jewelry.

EYES
The eyes had heavy makeup but don't put it in until you have the eyes looking good first.  They arch over the top and are slightly curved on the bottom. The eyebrow is as long as the eye. The eyes are about as far apart as they are wide. So if the eyes are two inches wide, the space between them should also be two inches.

NOSE
Keep the nose simple. It is more shadow and shape, and there are not many lines.

MOUTH
The width of the mouth reaches to the pupil of the eyes. Her lips are full, and the top lip is more shadow than the bottom lip, and the bottom lip has a shadow underneath.

FUN STUFF
Save the fun stuff for last, like the crown, the snake in the crown, the hooped earrings, and the braided hair. The crown is part of a golden feathered headdress that sweeps out to the sides. Draw some guidelines first, so it doesn't get messy.

Add a shadow to give her more realism.

How To Draw A Butterfly Fairy Kneeling Worksheet

How to draw a butterfly fairy kneeling, drawing lesson, and printable worksheet.

This is a nice project that can turn out very well if you take your time. The kneeling figure can apply to any person not just the fairy. The free printable worksheet below may be printed for personal use, just highlight and save or send to your printer.

How to draw a Butterfly Fairy Kneeling.

To print the worksheet just highlight it and send it to our printer or save to your device to print later. If you have problems printing see the how to print tab above for help.

You may want to print the project notes below, too.

A GOOD BEGINNING
There is a balance point for all standing (or kneeling) figures. Use a light line up and down to keep the image logically balanced.

Use an articulated stick figure to begin your design. Then fill out the form using curved lines to make the figure. Since it is a fantasy creature who is to say that they have long limbs or short ones or if they have two arms or four? Have fun.

HEAD
The head is turned downward, this changes everything from a face straight on. There will be little or no neck showing because it is hidden by the chin. The eyes are much lower, and the nose, mouth and chin seem to be right on top of each other.

You may want to practice or work out the details on a separate piece of paper.

Keep the details simple.
     * Just draw downward curved lines for the eyes
     * Draw upward-pointing lines for the eyebrows.
     * The cheeks are curved outward since she is smiling.
     * The nose is a shadow shaped like a slight "V",
     * The mouth is a short slightly curved line.
     * The chin is a wide point.

HAIR
Use long black hair as part of her clothing if you like. It is tangled and curvy.

HANDS
One hand is seen from the side. The thumb is behind the hand closest to her chest. Keep it simple.
The other hand is upturned and the butterfly is in the palm. The thumb is outward and the fingers tilt down for effect.

CLOTHING
I gave her a grass skirt and let the long hair cover her to express modesty.

BUTTERFLY WINGS.
Do the wings by going back and forth on each side so both wings match.

If you can trace through your paper it is a good idea to design the wings on a separate paper and then trace them on to your project that way they are even. There is a large upper wing and a long triangle lower wing on each side.
